Aurum Wines

Aurum wines was first planted in the Lowburn sub-region of Central Otago in 1997 by Joan and Tony Lawrence. Joined by their son Brook and his wife Lucie, both experienced winemakers, they use traditional practices, hand-harvesting, wild yeasts fermentation and minimal intervention. Certified organic.

Wines Produced

Pinot Gris, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris Rosé, Methode Traditionelle, Port Molyneux (Pinot Gris).

Aurum is certified organic by BioGro New Zealand, and implement organic farming practices during the production of their grapes and wines.

One To Try

Madeleine - This Pinot Noir is named after the second daughter of Brook and Lucie. Low cropping estate grown grapes were hand harvested in April 2013 from Te Wairere vineyard in Lowburn, then processed by foot trampling 100% whole bunch grapes in open fermenter with wild yeasts. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
